This is a temporary (contract) position with no specific time period but could be extended or shortened as needed. Contractors are employed by a 3rd party vendor and placed on assignment to Airbus in America.

Responsibilities- Perform detailed inspections, assembly, installation, repair, replacement, adjustment, and alignment of parts and components.
- Conduct operational checks of complete systems to verify proper functioning of components and systems.
- Perform troubleshooting to diagnose malfunctions or failures on aircraft systems including, but not limited to, aircraft equipment furnishings, fire protection, fuel system, hydraulics, landing gear, doors, fuselage, stabilizer, rotor systems, power plant and engine controls.
- Participate in flight tests on aircraft and log work to be performed; interface with customer for delivery and address any problems discovered during delivery.
- Minimum six (6) years of aviation maintenance experience. Some experience must be on helicopters.
- Current FAA A&P license OR the ability to qualify for a Repairman Certificate (Repairman Certificate requires 18 months of maintenance experience on Airbus manufactured helicopters).
- Safran Turbomeca engine experience is preferred but not required.
- General knowledge of standard practices and troubleshooting methods.
- Onsite: 90%
- Vision: ability to read computer screens, documents, reports and engineering drawings daily.
- Hearing: ability to hear conversations and alarms on a daily basis.
- Speaking: ability to communicate effectively in conversations and meetings daily.
- Equipment Operation: ability to operate office equipment and production tools daily.
- Carries/Lifts/Transfers: able to carry up to 30 lbs and lift up to 60 lbs daily.
- Posture and mobility: sitting, standing, squatting/kneeling, walking on uneven surfaces as required; travel as needed.
- Personal Protective Equipment: PPE as required by site and/or customer site (e.g., safety shoes, glasses, hearing protection, respirators/masks, gloves).
- US Person under ITAR definition required (for example: U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license).
