The company serves the electrical and gas utility sectors and performs services such as concrete foundation construction, substation construction, electrical distribution installation, and natural gas distribution line installation. • Troubleshoot and repair/maintain heavy equipment, including:
• Air equipment – Bucket trucks, diggers
• Directional drills
• Excavators
• Backhoes
• Trailers
• Pickups, one-ton and larger trucks
• Must have knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and air brakes.
• Will be called upon to travel occasionally to other parts of the region to support other projects.

• At least 3 years heavy mechanical experience, preferably working on heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, air brakes, and electrical components.
• Ability to operate and work out of a mobile mechanics truck.
• Current D.O.T. medical certificate and ability to obtain a Class A C.D.L.

Work is performed most frequently outdoors in weather conditions ranging from sub‑zero to temperatures above 90°F, in wet and dry conditions and rural areas. Employees may work around energized and de‑energized electric lines, moving mechanical parts, and in confined spaces. Exposure to odors, gases, dust, and dirt may occur. Noise levels range from moderate to loud. The job requires exertion of up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.

Lifting and carrying of 10‑50 pounds frequently is required. Reaching and lifting overhead is frequent. Work may involve standing, crawling, climbing, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and reaching for the majority of the time. Performances on poles up to 75 feet in awkward positions and long periods of driving or riding in line construction vehicles to reach remote service territories. Subject to drug and alcohol testing per applicable federal regulations or as required by Quanta.
