Security Manager, IT Specialist
Overview
Role Overview:
The Security Supervisor is responsible for supporting and maintaining security and loss prevention programs across all Dallas-Fort Worth locations. This role supervises third-party contract security personnel, operates and monitors security systems, supports investigations, and partners closely with internal teams to protect people, assets, and information.
- Maintain day-to-day security operations across all supported facilities, working early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays, and available 24/7.
- Lead, manage, and train third-party security team.
- Manage and maintain physical security and loss prevention technology and systems: burglar alarms, access control, CCTV, visitor management, metal detectors, X-Ray machines.
- Actively supports safety programs and initiatives; supports crisis and business continuity: workplace violence, weather disruptions, etc.
- Conducts regular security and safety training with employees, temporary workers, and third-party security team.
- Supports loss prevention and operational investigations; works cross functionally and with external partners (law enforcement, vendors) to quickly investigate, resolve, and identify root causes.
- 3+ years of warehouse experience in security, loss prevention, or asset protection, preferably in a distribution center, logistics, or multi-site environment.
- Preferred:
Bilingual (Spanish) proficiency, including speaking, reading, and writing. - Experience supervising or leading third-party contract security personnel.
- Experience supporting logistics-related investigations, including lost-in-transit and customer non-receipts.
- Working knowledge of CCTV, alarm systems, and access control systems.
- Strong communication, time management, prioritization, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning new systems.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift and carry at least 30lbs as needed.
