Highly respected Dallas-area distributor of quality commercial industrial vinyl fabrics has an opening for an experienced Territory Sales Representative to convert leads into sales through outbound calls and in-person regional sales calls. The position reports to the Director of Sales.

Qualifications

Only candidates with at least 5 years of directly applicable prior experience in product sales will be considered. Your prior experience must include cold calling into prospective customer organizations, making in-person sales calls, maintaining CRM entries, trade show experience, and responding to customer inquiries and issues resolution. This position requires 60-70% travel within the territory.

We seek an individual who is an outgoing, people-oriented, persuasive professional who enjoys the opportunity to influence people to join our Values-based, team-oriented environment. You will focus 100% of your work effort on top line revenue and turning leads into ongoing business. Although not required, your experience in commercial fabrics, textiles, or exterior shade would be helpful.

Compensation

Compensation includes salary, commission, and bonus.

Responsibilities
  • Meet or exceed sales goals by identifying sales leads, negotiating, and closing sales deals.
  • Travel approximately 60-70% for the purpose of interacting with customers and prospective customers.
  • Act as the point of contact for existing and potential customers within assigned territory, including in-person visits to prospects and customers.
  • Identify customer needs, educate customers about products, and recommend product solutions; present products and services to customers.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships within the assigned territory.
  • Maintain data and detailed notes in CRM system.
  • Attend industry trade shows and events to promote the company and its products.
  • Report on regional sales results and competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate with other departments of the company regarding pricing, product availability, logistics, marketing efforts, and customer service.
  • This position requires working with and through others. There is a need for a persuasive, "selling" communication style and attention spent on building and maintaining relationships.
