Overview

We are seeking a full-time Retail Sales Associate to join our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and assists customers with sales, loans, and related transactions, working with a wide variety of merchandise, including tools, electronics, jewelry, and more.

Compensation
  • Hourly wage: $10.00 to $14.00 per hour.
  • Commission:
    Earn commission on transactions; specifics provided during interview.
  • Earned Wage Access available after two days; withdraw up to 50% of wages earned up to seven times per payroll cycle.

Position Summary

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate partners with the store team to ensure customer service on both lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and assists customers with sales, loans, and other transactions, and works with a wide variety of merchandise.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and interact with customers to develop a rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
  • Perform non-management open/close procedures.
  • Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and merchandised.
  • Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Handle cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Answer incoming calls per company standards.
  • Explain the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using effective communication tools.
  • Partner with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
  • Complete the assigned training and other duties as needed.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and perform duties for extended periods (as required by law).
  • Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified (where applicable).
  • Minimum age: 18;
    High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team-oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; basic math and cash handling skills preferred.
  • Willingness to work at multiple locations and a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Computer literate and able to operate POS systems.
Commission

The commission plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on personal performance. Details will be provided during the interview.

Payrates will not be below applicable local minimum wage requirements.
