Position Summary:

The Grounds Worker is responsible for the care, upkeep, and maintenance of all exterior grounds across Trinity Basin Preparatory campuses. This position ensures that campus grounds are safe, attractive, and well-maintained to support a positive learning environment. During off-season periods, the Grounds Worker may be assigned to assist the Maintenance Department or provide operational support to the District Warehouse. A district vehicle and appropriate equipment will be provided for the performance of duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Perform lawn care and landscaping duties, including mowing, trimming, edging, fertilizing, and watering.

* Maintain flower beds, trees, shrubs, and other landscaping features.

* Remove trash, debris, and other hazards from grounds to ensure a safe and clean environment.

* Perform seasonal tasks such as leaf removal, snow/ice treatment (if applicable), and irrigation system care.

* Inspect grounds regularly and report safety hazards, needed repairs, or improvements.

* Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment in a safe and effective manner.

* Collaborate with the Maintenance Department to assist with minor repairs, special projects, or facility needs during slower lawn care seasons.

* Support District Warehouse operations as assigned, including inventory, deliveries, and general logistics support.

* Follow all safety guidelines, district policies, and procedures.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

* Experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or a related field preferred.

* Ability to operate lawn and landscaping equipment safely and effectively.

* Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

* Valid driver's license and insurable driving record required.

* Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Work Environment:

This position requires regular outdoor work in varying weather conditions. The role involves physical activity including standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the workday.
