Location:
Medical City Dallas, Dallas, TX.
- Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on the diagnostic imaging patient.
- Use therapeutic communication in daily practice.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Implement and direct care, using the nursing process with emphasis on the needs of individual patients.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the nursing process.
- Provide emotional support to patients and significant others to help them make informed health care choices.
- Delegate tasks to the appropriate caregiver.
- Participate in diagnostic imaging specific initiatives and process improvement.
- Promote a supportive diagnostic imaging environment.
- Provide supervision of new employees, patient care assistants, vocational nurses, nurse technicians, student nurses, and/or nurse externs.
- Maintain high quality care for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients as assigned.
- Support the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- BSN required within 24 months of hire for hires after 6/1/12.
- Experience with radiation safety required.
- Oncology, ICU, or ER experience preferred.
- Experience with infant to adult radiology patients preferred.
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or a compact license.
- Current AHA or ARC BLS provider.
- Current ACLS.
- PALS required within 6 months of hire or transfer.
