Position: Volunteer – Brakin Out Inc.

Brakin Out is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to elevating disadvantaged youth by offering them second chances through mentorship and empowerment programs.

Our mission is to elevate our disadvantaged youth by offering them a second chance through mentorship and reclamation.

Established in Tampa, Florida, and now expanding in Dallas, Texas, Brakin Out Inc. specializes in mentorship programs addressing lack of self-esteem, LGBT+ coming out, relationships, peer-to-peer support, family or self-hurt issues, and bullying.

Brakin Out Inc. is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Board of Directors. As a Board Member, you will be at the forefront of guiding the strategic direction of our organization, ensuring effective governance, and championing our mission to provide second chances and mentorship to at-risk youth. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and impactful nonprofit, making a lasting difference in the lives of disadvantaged young people.

Job Description

As a volunteer, you will support various aspects of our programs and initiatives, providing invaluable assistance to our mission of empowering at-risk youth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Support:Assist in planning, organizing, and executing events and activities for at-risk youth.
  • Administrative Tasks:Help with office tasks such as data entry, filing, and preparing materials.
  • Community Outreach:Participate in outreach efforts to raise awareness about our programs and recruit participants.
  • Mentorship Assistance:Support our mentoring programs by helping with logistics and providing additional support to mentors and mentees.
  • Fundraising

    Activities:

    Assist in fundraising events and campaigns to help secure resources for our programs.
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to commit to a minimum of 10hours per month.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of the organization.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Brakin Out Inc.
  • Previous volunteer experience is a plus but not required.
