Gear Cutter & Grinder DSC - 2nd Shift

• Set up and operate all types of gear manufacturing equipment including gear cutters, gear grinders, gear shavers, lapping machines, to produce gears and splines (including spiral bevel, helical and hypoid gears).
• Ensure setups and work are held to extremely close tolerances.
• Advise and assist in development of new gears and gear cutting processes.
• Test and check gears using gear testing and checking machines and equipment.
• Set up and/or perform all grinding on case-hardened surfaces.

• Gear manufacturing, testing, and checking equipment, machinists’ hand tools, precision measuring instruments.

• Three years of experience as a Gear Cutter and Grinder plus two years of related experience.
