Job Summary: The Production Operator Level 1 is responsible for operating and maintaining production equipment to ensure efficient and safe manufacturing processes. This role involves performing routine tasks, monitoring equipment, and ensuring product quality. The Production Operator Level 1 will work closely with other team members to meet production goals and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Responsibilities- Operate and monitor production equipment to ensure efficient and safe manufacturing processes.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
- Conduct quality checks on products to ensure they meet specifications.
- Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate production records and logs.
- Assist with material handling and inventory management.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets.
- Takes top level drawings and provides clear details to Production for all the components, calculating material requirements, cutting sizes and quantities, by following Company Standard Processes and Drawings. Provides details and accurate information through the paperwork provided to Production
- Create flat layouts to be used for CNC programming, when necessary
- Uses CNC Software and develops programs for Amada Punching Machines, insuring proper materials usage and work accuracy
- Creates cut sheets for all the components
- Creates and maintains Work Orders and Engineering Masers for Company’s ERP system
- Apply working knowledge of product design and assembly to the manufacturing process
- Develops and improves manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods
- Completes details and development projects by training and guiding technicians
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years of CNC router & knife cutting experience, Zund machine preferable
- Auto Cad:
Must be able to perform basic 2D and 3D modeling operation - Excel:
Must be able to work with and across spreadsheets and apply basic mathematical operations - Previous CNC light programming/setup/operation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts and weekends.
