Additive Manufacturing Technician – Grand Prairie, TX
Job Description: We are seeking an Additive Manufacturing Technician for our Advanced Manufacturing Technologies team in Grand Prairie, TX. Our team pushes the boundaries of additive manufacturing and needs a highly motivated, detail‑oriented individual to maintain and operate our additive manufacturing equipment.

OverviewYou will own the print process, de‑powdering, vacuum furnace operation, HIP furnace operation, and build‑plate post‑processing. You will ensure the smooth operation of our additive manufacturing equipment and processes.
Your Responsibilities- Run and maintain the Solar vacuum furnace, including stress relief and aging profiles.
- Run and maintain the AIP HIP furnace for multiple materials.
- Perform build‑plate resurfacing for large‑scale additive plates, including EDM, surface grinding, and full inspection.
- Operate and maintain two large‑scale additive machines in two materials.
- Provide updates and tracking on all jobs, consumables, and costs to customers and leadership.
- Partner across manufacturing functions to build relationships in downstream and upstream processes.

Minimum Education RequiredHigh School or GED.
Additional Qualifications / Responsibilities- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to obtain a Secret‑level clearance.
- Experience with heat treatment, vacuum furnaces or HIP furnaces; additive experience is a plus.
- Strong problem‑solving and independent thinking skills.
- Ability to learn quickly on HMIs and manufacturing process documentation.
- Comfortable with flexibility in work scope and requirements and a good attitude.
- Certifications in Solar or AIP furnace operation.
- Experience with heat treatment programs and outcomes.
- Experience with Aluminum and/or Inconel additive manufacturing or heat treatment.
- CNC programming and EDM experience.
This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. citizen for consideration. Clearance level:
Secret.
