Responsibilities- Through the coordination with the Chief of IT Planning and Development, ensures that proper procedures are followed for Bureau-wide planning and project management. Project planning and management duties include the following:
Plans, directs and coordinates activities of agency technology projects to ensure that goals and objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frames and budget. Reviews project proposals or plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements and allotment of available departmental resources to various project phases. Develops quality assurance test plans and direct testing activities of those test plans.
Collaborates with end users, business stakeholders and other to understand and prioritize business goals and information needs, and then develops system requirements and design specifications. Manages internal and external systems/application development projects within assigned areas from inception to successful implementation.
