The Wasserstrom Company is the leading Food Service Distributor in the nation. Established in 1902, we are a family owned company with our headquarters in Columbus, OH. We currently have a Material Handler IV Lead position available in our Grand Prairie Distribution Center.
Responsibilities include:
Directs & Audits work activities of LTL warehouse workers to verify conformance to efficiency, safety, on-time, and quality assurance standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Oversee and support management of workflow
- Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) to create and sort batches of orders, communicate order fulfillment issues to sales team, resolve system batching issues, organize workload for the DC floor
- Conduct Quality and Safety Audits
- Train associates on proper procedures, practices, and equipment
- Ability to properly operate multiple pieces of equipment including stock chasers, order pickers, stand up and sit down forklifts, turret trucks
- Mark and label containers, container tags, or products, using marking tools
- Other assigned duties

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

- Ability to Prioritize the needs of the business
- Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and recognize unique product identifiers. Ability to communicate effectively with management and coworkers.
- Ability to provide direction to warehouse associates.
Education &/or
Experience:
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in a distribution center.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
