Wellness and Recovery Specialist
Location:
Virtual – This role is full‑time and primarily virtual, with required in‑person training sessions. It offers flexibility and autonomy while requiring the employee to reside in the state of Texas.

How You Will Make An Impact- Responsible for coordinating and managing care activities with a focus on the wellness and recovery of members.
- Key responsibilities include identifying opportunities to engage members and their families in forming a supportive recovery network.
- Developing and implementing onsite psychiatric discharge planning education at Recovery and Resiliency sites, collaborating with Stabilization Teams, advocating for members in discharge planning education, resolving barriers, and facilitating service transitions.
- Serve as a resource for staff with decision‑making and problem‑solving.
- Initiate and maintain contact with assigned individuals and providers to assess members' responses to services.
- Requires an AA/AS and a minimum of 2 years of experience in health services or behavioral health, or a peer support services role, or a combination of education and experience providing an equivalent background.
- Peer Specialist Certification is required.
- Knowledge of care coordination and case management concepts is highly preferred.
- A BA/BS is preferred.
