Locations: Bethany, OK or Grand Prairie, TX (open to other plant locations)
Travel: Up to 50% (domestic & occasional international)
Salary: Targeting $85,000–$95,000 (pending confirmation)
Are you a hands-on engineer who enjoys working where chemistry, manufacturing, and process improvement intersect?
A global, privately held manufacturer with facilities across multiple regions is seeking two Process Engineers to support plant operations, new product scale-up, equipment optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives across several manufacturing sites.
This role sits at the intersection of R&D, Quality, and Plant Operations, and is ideal for an engineer who enjoys both plant floor problem solving and data-driven process optimization.
What You’ll Be Doing
This position supports four primary areas:
Process Lab & New Product Scale-Up (50%)
- Support new product development projects from pilot plant through full production scale
- Develop and execute Design of Experiments (DOE) for pilot and production scale-up
- Analyze DOE results and recommend process improvements
- Work in laboratory and pilot environments following GMP practices
Data Analysis & Technical Process Management (20%)
- Analyze process, quality, and production data to identify cost reduction and efficiency opportunities
- Ensure process documentation and data integrity within ERP/QMS systems
- Develop work instructions and train teams on improved methods and equipment
- Support ISO/QMS compliance initiatives
Plant & Equipment Support (20%)
- Lead process improvement initiatives that reduce waste and improve OEE, yields, and throughput
- Troubleshoot production, quality, and equipment issues
- Evaluate equipment and process capability; recommend upgrades or modifications
- Lead installation and start-up of new equipment and processes
- Partner closely with Plant Leadership, QA, and R&D teams
Pilot Plant Support (10%)
- Operate and test pilot plant equipment
- Conduct lab testing tied to pilot experiments
- Ensure equipment is operating safely and to specification
Required Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- 3–6 years of experience in a process manufacturing or chemical manufacturing environment
- Comfortable working in plant, lab, and pilot settings
- Passport required or ability to obtain one
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in Minitab or similar statistical software (highly preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with:
- Process validation and qualification
- Equipment optimization and development
- Controls and process improvement
- Lean / Six Sigma methodologies
- Design of Experiments (DOE)
