We are seeking a Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer who will specialize in Modeling and Simulation of complex technical solutions. This person will join a highly skilled team of systems engineering technologists and algorithm developers supporting various contracts and IRADs within Missiles and Fire Control.

Modeling & Simulation Engineer tasks include:

• Design and documentation of model and simulation requirements and architecture
• Develop, verify, and validate both complex models and simulations such as missile 6‑degree‑of‑freedom simulations (6‑DOF) and effects‑based simulations
• Evaluate system performance in complex scenarios and environments and verify system and subsystem level requirements
• Perform critical studies, analyses, and test activities
• Support ground and flight test efforts including Hardware‑In‑The‑Loop (HWIL) activities
• Support program reviews and technical interchange meetings with internal leadership and/or external customers

• Post Secondary STEM degree with 1+ years of relevant experience.
• Must be a US Citizen as an Interim Clearance is required to start.
• Candidate must have fundamental proficiency in C++.
• Proficient in either MATLAB or Python.
• Candidate must have demonstrated the ability to perform one or more of the following Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) or Modeling and Simulation (M&S) assignments based on completed coursework or professional experience:

• Develop and analyze algorithms such as guidance, navigation, autopilot, inertial tracking, and servo control algorithms.
• Develop and/or verify/validate complex vehicle models and simulations such as missile 6‑degree‑of‑freedom simulations.
• Demonstrate strong math skills in the areas of linear algebra, matrix math, statistics, trigonometry, and coordinate transformations.

• Proficiency with Python and Linux.
• Experience with Agile development.
• Experience with Dev Ops/Dev Sec Ops  CI/CD pipelines and software version control such as Git.
• Strong written/verbal communication and organizational and interpersonal skills.

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret. Active Secret Clearance.
