• Deliver, receive and transport furniture, artwork and other merchandise to residential and commercial locations, airports, seaports or rail ports.
• Maintain radio or telephone contact with base supervisor to receive instructions or be dispatched to new location.
• Maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations.
• Obey all traffic regulations from City, State and Federal Laws.
• Keep record of materials and products transported.
• Position blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo for transport.
• Clean, inspect and service vehicle.
• Operate equipment on vehicle to load, unload, or disperse cargo or materials.
• Obtain customer signature or collect payment for goods delivered and delivery charges if needed.
• Assist in loading and unloading truck manually.
• Other duties assigned by management.
• All candidates must be enthusiastic and hardworking with a clean cut, well-groomed appearance and punctual.
• You have at least 2 years of previous commercial truck driving experience.
• You know our city's commercial trucking routes.
• You have at least 2 years of fine furniture handling and moving experience.
• You are flexible to work weekends as needed.
