Diesel Fuel Island Attendant Entry Level

We are immediately hiring a permanent full‑time Fueler Service Technician and Fuel Island Attendant to join us at Ryder in Grand Junction, Colorado. This role requires a reliable, customer‑focused individual who can handle fueling operations and basic maintenance tasks.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Three (3) years or more of related work experience (preferred)
• Bilingual or proficient in English written and verbal communication
• Strong customer‑service orientation; able to interpret verbal communication and computer instructions
• Basic computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, email) and data entry
• Work flexible schedules, including shift work, weekends, and holidays
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Detail‑oriented, thorough, and dependable
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
• DOT Safety Regulated Position – must obtain CDL within 6 months after hire, pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, Ryder road test, background & motor vehicle check; safety sensitive position

Responsibilities:

• Fuel vehicles; record fuel activity; maintain fuel and DEF inventory and reconcile; check oil and tire pressure
• Move heavy‑duty vehicles; wash and detail vehicles and windows
• Perform multi‑point inspection on inbound units per company policies
• Report service issues to the shop
• Perform minor maintenance tasks such as tire repairs and wheel alignment per company procedure
• Assist with facility maintenance and environmental compliance
• Maintain fuel island area to Six Sigma standards and policies
• Perform other duties as assigned
