Special Events Officer – Citadel Security USA
Location: Grand Junction, CO
Employment Type: Part-Time / As-Needed
Schedule: Evenings and weekends (event-based)
Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour
Citadel Security USA is seeking professional and dependable Unarmed Special Events Security Officers to support concerts, festivals, sporting events, and other large-scale gatherings in Grand Junction and surrounding areas. This role is ideal for individuals who are customer-service oriented, able to work in dynamic environments, and available for flexible scheduling. Officers may be required to travel out of town for certain events.
Responsibilities- Provide a visible and professional security presence at special events
- Perform bag checks and screening in accordance with event policies
- Conduct and support alcohol compliance efforts
- Assist with crowd control and manage foot traffic safely
- Deliver excellent customer service to guests, staff, and vendors
- Monitor for safety concerns and report issues to event leadership
- Follow post orders, venue rules, and company procedures
- Minimum age of 18
- Ability to remain professional in fast-paced, high-volume environments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness and ability to travel out of town as needed
- Reliable transportation
- Prior security or event experience preferred but not required
- Indoor and outdoor event venues
- Variable weather conditions
- High-energy, public-facing environments
