Job Summary
Sales Associates are dedicated to providing fast, friendly service to our customers and donors. Associates have thorough knowledge of policies and procedures related to cash register operations and are capable of processing transactions quickly. Associates assist in production and donations, and work diligently to keep the store clean, safe and accessible to our customers.

- Adheres to Able Light's mission, vision and core values to ensure that the highest level of customer service is being met.
- Operates cash register accurately and efficiently.
- Assists in stocking sales floor, stock rotation, displays and organization of merchandise.
- Completes cash balance, production and other reports as directed.
- Responsible for answering telephone in professional manner and directing calls to appropriate party.
- Sorts and prices merchandise in accordance to quality and pricing guidelines.
- Reports supply needs to manager.
- Greet and thanks donors and customers for their contributions to the Mission.
- Transfers merchandise from donor vehicle to building.
- Smiles and offers tax receipt to every donor.
- Sorts donations into various categories according to Able Light policies and procedures.
- Keeps inside and outside of donation center and store organized and clean.
- Actively participate and support raising funds for the Able Light charity through round ups at the register, and other events initiated by Ablelight.
- Other duties as assigned.

A Sales Associate who is successfully performing all their job duties and demonstrates the ability to handle additional responsibility can be assigned by a store manager the role of Key Carrier for a shift on an as needed basis. When assigned and performing the Key Carrier role, the Associates flex up to assist with store coverage during specific periods of business to open and close the store, follows established loss prevention and security procedures and ensures safe and orderly work environment.
Through example and ensuring other staff follow safe work practices. An hourly shift differential will be given to individuals identified to assist with key carrier duties.

- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred

Certifications:
None - Experience One year of retail experience preferred.
- Able to lift 40 lbs. on a regular basis (more occasionally) and stand on feet for up to eight hours.
- Able to carry items up and down stairs as needed.
