Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Biomedical Equipment Technician II to join our healthcare team in Grand Junction, CO. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of a wide range of biomedical equipment to ensure optimal performance and patient safety.

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of biomedical equipment including diagnostic, therapeutic, and monitoring devices.
• Calibrate and test equipment to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and regulatory standards.
• Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately in the equipment management system.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to address equipment issues and provide technical support and training as needed.
• Assist in the evaluation and installation of new biomedical equipment.
• Maintain inventory of parts and supplies necessary for equipment repair and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements such as OSHA, FDA, and Joint Commission guidelines.

• Associate degree or equivalent in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of medical device technology, electronics, and mechanical systems.
• Experience with diagnostic testing and calibration tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clinical and technical teams.
• Certification such as CBET (Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician) preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between facilities as needed.

This position is based in Grand Junction, CO, and involves working in a hospital and clinical environment. The role may require lifting equipment, standing for extended periods, and occasional after-hours or on-call work.
