Overview
Naph Care is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses to join our team of medical professionals in Grand Junction, Colorado
, where we manage all aspects of healthcare for individuals who are currently incarcerated in the Mesa County Jail
. We currently have PRN positions available.
Pay rates range from $28.00-$30.45 per hour
, based on employment status, site needs, licensure, and experience.
As an LPN
, you will play a critical role in our continued mission to provide quality healthcare that protects the rights, dignity, and health of our unique patient population. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Performing patient assessments and interviewing patients about current health problems and medication history
- Taking vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, and weight
- Providing wound care, including cleaning and bandaging injured areas
- Administering medications, including injections, and monitoring reactions to meds
- Maintaining medical records, including entering information into our electronic health record (Tech Care)
- Observing patient health and mental health status
- Providing emergency first aid
- Providing patient education and discharge/release planning
- Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Actively state-certified as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
- Must possess an active BLS CPR Certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- Able to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
- Display integrity, professionalism and adhere to a Code of Conduct and facility correctional healthcare policies and procedures
- Must pass the facility’s criminal background check and drug screening
Must be able to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks (e.g., CPR), while maintaining balance and endurance throughout a shift.
