Overview
Human Touch Home Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our home healthcare team. As a CNA, you will provide direct care to patients in their homes under supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Your primary role will be to assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), monitor health status, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment.

Responsibilities- Providing hands-on personal care including: baths; back rubs; oral hygiene; shampoos; changing bed linen; assisting patients with dressing and undressing; skin care; assisting the patient with toileting; keeping patient s living area clean and orderly; planning and preparing nutritious meals; assisting in feeding if necessary.
- Taking and recording vital signs when ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency).
- Assisting in ambulation and exercise according to the plan of care; performing range of motion and other simple procedures as ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency).
- Performing simple procedures as an extension of nursing services as ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency).
- Assisting patient in the self-administration of medication.
- Doing patient s laundry, as appropriate.
- Meeting safety needs of patients and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, etc.).
- Reporting on patient s condition and significant changes to the assigned nurse.
- Adhering to the Organization s documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct.
- Meets training requirements and successfully completes: training and competency evaluation program; a competency evaluation that meets the requirements; nurse aide training and competency evaluation approved by the state as meeting the requirements and is currently in good standing on the state nurse aide registry.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have valid Colorado CNA licensure.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given.
- Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision.
- Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and the impaired.
- Possess and maintains current CPR certification.
- Demonstrates tact, patience and good personal hygiene.
- Licensed driver with automobile that is insured in accordance with Organization requirements and is in good working order.
- Must have reliable transportation and company-required auto liability insurance.
- Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
- Willing to travel within 20 miles radius.
