Job DescriptionThis position demonstrates consistent application of knowledge and skills to deliver appropriate, safe, efficient, and cost‑effective pharmaceutical care within the scope of the assigned practice. The role involves patient care and developing professional relationships with the multidisciplinary team.
Position: Clinical Pharmacist
Location: St. Mary's Regional Hospital, Grand Junction, Colorado
Schedule: 10‑hour shifts, primarily Monday‑Friday, weekends and holidays as needed
Sign on Bonus: $10,000.00

Essential Functions- Review patients’ medication orders for allergies, duplication, appropriateness, and interactions; make evidence‑based interventions.
- Ensure timely preparation, delivery, and secure storage of medications.
- Provide counseling, promote medication education and adherence, and ensure respectful service.
- Complete regulatory and compliance training and documentation.
- Supervise interns, technicians, and support personnel as needed.
- Resolve issues with equipment, maintenance, drug availability, staffing, and patient care concerns.
- Identify improvement opportunities and safety hazards; take appropriate actions.
- Support clinic or hospital and system directives—including compliance, operations, standardization, and customer service.
- Support local and enterprise pharmacy leadership initiatives.
- Pharmacy, Pharmacy Services, Medication Management, Pharmaceutical Care, Project Management, Quality Improvement, Problem Solving, Federal Pharmacy Laws, State Pharmacy Laws.
- Minimum
- Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
- License to practice pharmacy in the state of practice and dispense controlled substances.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations.
- Effective communication, people‑management, and project‑management skills.
- Immunization certification if applicable.
- Preferred
- Experience in an integrated healthcare delivery system.
- Board Certification.
- Health System Residency.
- Ability to see, read labels, documents, monitors, identify equipment, and assess needs.
- Verbal communication with providers, colleagues, patients, and visitors.
- Manual dexterity to manipulate supplies and equipment; frequent computer use.
