Are you an Accounting ROCKSTAR? We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail‑oriented Bank Accounting Representative to join our team! In this part‑time role (30 hours per week), you will take pride in performing a variety of accounting and clerical tasks with accuracy, efficiency, and a strong commitment to confidentiality.

In this position, you’ll work closely with customers, vendors, community members, and fellow team members. The salary range for this position is $20.75 to $22.00 per hour. All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, years of experience, and educational background.

Essential Functions
  • Prepares and reviews reconciliations of General Ledger Accounts on a daily, monthly, and quarterly basis as assigned to meet GBCI/bank divisions’ schedule and SOX Key Controls.
  • Assist with preparation and review of Accounts Payable items.
  • Assist in writing “How-To Guides” as requested.
  • Preparation and tracking of Signature Cards for Internal Accounts.
  • Train department and branch staff on accounting procedures and best practices.
  • Manage Vendor Due Diligence.
  • Manage the Unclaimed Property Review and submission of Unclaimed Property to the State of Colorado Treasury Department.
  • Provide customer service duties for Bank of the San Juan’s Administrative Team.
  • Assist Bank of the San Juans Accounting Supervisor with tasks as requested.
  • Assist with identifying and leading continuous improvement initiatives within the department and division.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Complete required bank training courses within assigned time frame(s). It is the individual learner responsibility to ensure that they understand the information given to them in each training. If the learner does not understand the information given, they need to reach out to their supervisor for further clarification or additional training.

About You

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school degree or GED is required.
  • Associates degree in finance, accounting, or other related field preferred.
  • Two to five years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:

  • Understanding of financial and accounting practices, procedures, and regulations.
  • High degree of attention to detail as well as excellent organizational skill(s) to perform in a fast‑paced environment.
