Works with the Financial Controller to help a company manage and utilize its financial assets. Their duties include setting up a system to monitor the company’s assets, ensuring all accounting is done within legal compliance and helping make large-scale financial decisions based on past records.
What You'll Do- Oversee general ledger activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Support payroll, accounting, and benefits reconciliation.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Collaborate with the team to improve processes and ensure GAAP compliance.
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Experience reviewing financial statements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Experience with ERP systems like Paychex
- Prior accounting experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and or reporting tools
- Experience in transportation, logistics, construction, or service-based industries strongly preferred
