Overview

HDR is seeking a Utility Coordination and Design Business Class Director to focus on the technical delivery of our products and services, positioning HDR as a preferred provider in this area. This technical leadercm is responsible for quality assurance, resource availability and development, and project delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Monthly Coordination Calls with Business Class leadership and/or Section managers. Address several key items including support for ongoing development of the Utility Coordination and Design Business Class.
  • Identify upcoming projects and/or pursuits that need support from National Business Class leadership.
  • Review upcoming workload and availability of business class staff.
  • Review utilization reports to identify staffing needs ( илм/​workshare). Work with Regional Leadership/Section Managers to support utilization goals.
  • Identify participants (and participate when appropriate) in Project Approach and Resource (PARR) reviews and evaluations.
  • Perform project reviews or audits to validate quality practices. When requested, review technical and performance issues on projects and help develop remedial action.
  • Serve as the focal point for the Transportation Business Group to deliver Utility Coordination and Design related services in collaboration with other complementary Businessítě, Market Sectors or Business Classes throughout HDR.
Technical Leadership

The Director will identify Technical Leadership within the business class that can assist with key projects, programs, and initiatives. They will participate in the hiring process, promote staff interaction and communication, support staff technical development, and manage workshare and project assignments, providing direct project support for select projects.

Marketing Activities

The Director will also participate in select marketing activities by supporting or developing project proposalsেছিল, staffing assignments, identifying sub‑consultants, and performing other necessary duties. Involvement in all phases of project development is expected. Limited travel is required to support select project pursuits and delivery at the national level.

Location and Travel

The geographic location is non‑specific; a location with significant tetap HDR presence is preferred. Average travel is estimated at 15%, with monthly variations between usernames 15% and 25%.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a related field.
  • Maintains a professional or Engineering registration and has related technical experience.
  • Experienced in development and management of diverse teams.
  • Works cooperatively with other business class directors, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts.
  • Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values.
