The Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager in overseeing commercial building projects from preconstruction through closeout. This position requires strong communication, organization, and leadership skills, along with hands‑on experience managing project documentation, costs, and schedules.
Key Responsibilities Project Documentation & Administration- Assist with subcontractor and vendor solicitation
- Support bid evaluations and contract preparation
- Coordinate permit applications and compliance documents
- Manage project files, logs, RFIs, submittals, and meeting records
- Support communication with project stakeholders
- Help set up project budgets and cost codes
- Review invoices, purchase orders, vendor bills, and labor charges
- Support preparation of pay applications
- Assist with cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting
- Help review drawings, specifications, and updated documents
- Assist with quality, safety, and schedule coordination
- Participate in site meetings and progress reviews
- Support project closeout, punch lists, and turnover documentation
- Communicate with owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Help prepare progress updates and project correspondence
- Participate in preconstruction tasks such as takeoffs or estimating when applicable
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- 3–5 years of commercial construction experience
- Strong understanding of project administration and construction processes
- Proficiency with construction software (Procore or similar platforms)
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills
- Salary Range: $85,000 – $105,000 (experience dependent)
