Responsible for providing industry‑leading levels of service to clients while managing all customer document destruction needs, including transporting supplies and materials safely in accordance with company policy and all local and federal laws. The role involves loading and unloading the delivery vehicle and ensuring that all cargo is safely secured before transport. Shift includes a mid‑week day off and Saturday/Sunday off.

• Complete pre‑trip, post‑trip checks, and driver check‑in on assigned truck prior to departure or closing for the day. Report maintenance problems to Transportation/Dispatcher.
• Operate company equipment safely and efficiently to minimize risk of injury and equipment damage.
• Comply with all local, state, and federal laws governing driver fitness and hours of service. Maintain DOT logs when applicable.
• Perform onsite/offsite document destruction of confidential information, ensuring all documents are retrieved and consoles/containers securely locked and barcoded.
• Manage assigned routes, collecting and servicing confidential material in a timely and accurate manner.
• Handle and respond to all customer problems and inquiries expediently, serving the best interest of both the customer and Shred‑it.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Preferred:
High School or Equivalent.

• Required:
  
  3+ years driving experience (Class B or above) with an excellent driving record.
• Preferred:
  Three or more years of customer service and route management experience.
• Preferred:
  In‑depth knowledge and understanding of customer service and route management.
• Vehicle(s) Driven:
  Shred Trucks and Box Trucks.
• Current driver’s license (Class B or above) with an excellent driving record. All CMV/CDL drivers must be able to obtain a medical card by a certified medical examiner.
• May require mandatory immunizations and credentialing based on customer requirements.

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
