FullTime - Licensed Practical Nurse; LPN - Floor Nurse-Days- Grand

Eventide-Tabitha at Tabitha Prairie Commons in Grand Island is hiring a Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a day shift (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, 12 hours).

• Follows through on physician’s orders in accordance with Tabitha’s policies and procedures. If appropriate, receives and records physician’s orders.
• Prepares, administers, and/or supervises administration of medication, treatments and other nursing services as ordered by the physician and according to facility policies/procedures. Observes seniors/clients, watching for any sign of adverse reaction to medications.
• Assesses seniors/clients assigned to him/her in regard to physical, mental and psychosocial status, reporting condition changes in a timely manner to immediate supervisor and providing follow‑up with family and physician as directed. Takes and accurately records vital signs.
• Diligently observes senior/client skin per Tabitha policies, proactively taking steps to avoid pressure ulcers.
• Completes procedures and documents the appropriate information on the senior’s/client’s medical record in a timely manner according to Tabitha’s policies and procedures. Follows department protocol for submission of completed documentation.
• Provides direction and monitors Med Aides who are delivering medications to seniors/clients. Follows through on the comprehensive care plan as developed for each individual senior/client.
• Provides supervision and education to seniors/clients for the self‑administration of medications. When applicable, assists in teaching the senior/client and/or caregiver the necessary skills to allow the senior/client to return to his/her home.
• Assists in writing and implementing a comprehensive nursing plan of care. Updates the plan based on changes in the senior/client physical and/or emotional state.

• Age 18 or older.
• Successful completion of a Licensed Practical Nurse course of study. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of experience as an LPN (preferred).
• LPN license in good standing on the Nebraska State Registry or another Nurse Compact state. CPR required. Licenses and credentials must be kept current at the employee’s expense. Must meet Tabitha’s vaccination requirements.

Compensation ranges from $29.00 to $32.48 per hour, based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are also available for select positions, paid on employment status and shift worked.
