Good Samaritan, a not‑for‑profit organization providing over 100 years of housing and services to seniors, seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to support multiple locations within a 150‑mile radius of the permanent address.

Varies (minimum 30 hrs/month) - Minimum one weekend shift per month
$24.00 – $36.00 per hour. Premium pay: $5.00/hour for all hours, $1.25/hour weekend shift differential, $1.25/hour evening/night shift differential (6:00 PM–6:00 AM).
Job SummaryThe Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long‑term care under the supervision of an RN, advanced practice provider, or physician. The LPN demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles, performs competency within the full scope of nursing practice, administers medications or treatments, documents resident interactions and outcomes, and works effectively as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
The LPN also provides technical support to healthcare professionals, counsels residents and families, and participates in resident education programs.
- 3 months of experience in long‑term care required (6 months preferred)
- Minimum of 30 hours per month
- One weekend shift per month
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program and currently hold an unencumbered LPN license with the state nursing board.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- Completed 400 hours of LPN experience or a pre‑licensure program with supervised clinical experience across the life span.
- Maintain required department‑specific competencies and certifications, complete annual CEU and training requirements.
- For positions that require IV therapy/management skills in North Dakota, graduation from a board‑approved AASPN program that includes IV therapy or completion of an approved IV therapy course.
