Overview

Eventide-Tabitha at Tabitha Prairie Commons in Grand Island is hiring for a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a day shift 6a–6p (12 hours). This position has an every third weekend and holiday rotation.

• The Charge Nurse provides and ensures that the highest degree of nursing care is provided in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations as well as the philosophy, policies and procedures of Eventide-Tabitha.
• Follows through on physician’s orders in accordance with Tabitha’s policies and procedures. Receives and records physician’s orders as appropriate.
• Prepares, administers, and/or supervises administration of medication, treatments and other nursing services as ordered by the physician and according to facility policies/procedures. Observes seniors/clients for signs of adverse reactions to medications.
• Assesses seniors/clients assigned in regard to physical, mental and psychosocial status, reporting condition changes in a timely manner to immediate supervisor and providing follow-up with family and physician as directed. Takes and accurately records vital signs.
• Proactively observes skin and takes steps to prevent pressure ulcers per Tabitha policies.
• Completes procedures and documents information on the senior’s/ client’s medical record in a timely manner according to Tabitha’s policies and procedures. Follows department protocol for submission of completed documentation with attention to accuracy and timeliness.
• Provides direction and monitors Med Aides delivering medications to seniors/clients. Follows the comprehensive care plan for each individual senior/client.
• Provides supervision and education to seniors/clients for the self-administration of medications. When applicable, assists in teaching the senior/client and/or caregiver the necessary skills to return to home.
• Assists in writing and implementing a comprehensive nursing plan of care and updates it based on changes in the senior/client’s physical and/or emotional state.

• At least age 18.
• Successful completion of an RN or LPN program. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6 months experience as an RN or LPN, preferred.
• RN or LPN License in good standing as recorded on the Nebraska State Registry or other Nurse Compact state. CPR required. Licenses/credentials must be kept up to date at the employee's expense. Must meet Tabitha's vaccination requirements.

At Eventide | Tabitha, competitive starting pay range of $36-$40.32 per hour for RNs / $29.00-$32.48 per hour for LPNs based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are available for select positions, paid on employment status and shift worked.
