Job Purpose
This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and leading people, materials, equipment and processes to achieve established safety, quality, delivery, and profit goals while maintaining positive employee relations. The manager will apply lean manufacturing tools and techniques to continuously improve safety, cost, quality, and efficiency in their area.
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment by implementing CNH safety programs, policies, and regulations.
- Supervise the area for abnormalities in man, material, machine, and method and take appropriate timely actions to address them.
- Direct hourly employees in the production of parts, components, and finished products to meet efficiency targets and develop corrective action plans when targets are missed.
- Produce quality parts and finished goods that meet established quality goals.
- Administer operating budgets and monitor results to assure departmental objectives are achieved.
- Maintain required inventory levels and implement corrective action plans when necessary.
- Perform continuous improvement activities aimed at improving safety, efficiency, quality, and costs.
- Develop and maintain positive employee relations within company policy guidelines.
- Support HR activities such as employee selection, pay administration, counseling, training, performance reviews, and discipline of hourly employees.
- Monitor and coordinate equipment maintenance to meet work schedules.
- Administer and facilitate time standards in conjunction with Manufacturing Engineering.
- Implement company strategies and process changes at the operational level.
- Lead Kaizens and continuous improvement projects.
- Bachelor’s degree, or an Associate’s degree plus three (3) years experience in supervising/manufacturing, or high school diploma and five (5) years experience in supervising/manufacturing.
Pay Transparency
The annual minimum salary for this role is $65,000 plus applicable bonus.
