Plastic Injection Molding Material Handler 3rd shift

Overview

Back Side Material Handler. Third Shift Sunday - Thursday 10:45 pm - 7:30 am. Starting Pay $16/hr plus $1/hr shift premium.

Responsible for delivering materials to and from production area while maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy.

• Pull, scan, and transport raw material from the warehouse to the manufacturing area
• Work with all team members to maintain efficient operation of the shift
• Setup feeding system for resin, insert wands into gaylords and periodically check to ensure that material is feeding
• Complete all documentation regarding the setup of the feeding system as well as appropriate resin documentation as per the lot numbers on the packing list
• Operate the dryer system and complete all documentation related to the dryer operations
• Maintain and ensure that the dryer hopper is set at the appropriate drying set point and that the correct level of material is maintained
• Perform line clearance on the material feed line to dryers/hopper and to the molding machines
• Responsible for ensuring that during mold changes all resin is checked and signed off on to be within the process parameters established for that product
• Visually inspect and clean filters on vacuum system
• Maintain housekeeping of production and warehouse area

• Other Duties as assigned
• Must be able to get on and off the forklift several times a day
• Must be able to lift, bend, squat, stoop, etc. for long periods of time
• Must be able to safely change bins

• High School Diploma or General Educational Development
• Grand Haven Custom Molding issued forklift certification
• Forklift Experience Preferred
• Plastic Injection Molding experience 2-5 years preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Positive attitude
• Experience working with a variety of injection mold machines and resins
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with constant interaction with operators, technicians and equipment
• Good communication skills
• Able to work overtime as needed
• Position reports to Process Tech Lead
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
