Controller - Grand Haven Area

Salary Range: $125,000 - $175,000 depending on experience

• Oversee all financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
• Direct cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, COGS analysis, and manufacturing variance reporting.
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
• Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations to management for operational efficiency improvements.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure planning.
• Coordinate and manage external audits and ensure compliance with all tax regulations.

• 5+ years of progressive experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller in a manufacturing environment.
• Deep expertise in cost accounting principles, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation for manufactured goods.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) for manufacturing operations and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements, with a focus on manufacturing industry specifics.
• Proven ability to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models for production and operational expenses.

• Experience with advanced data visualization or business intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Demonstrated success in leading financial process improvement or automation initiatives
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and their financial impact or reporting
• Direct experience with ERP system implementation or significant module upgrades (e.g., SAP FICO, Oracle Manufacturing)
