Key Responsibilities- Track Maintenance Repair and Installation - repair and rebuild railroad track, perform maintenance by pulling spikes, cutting, welding, or drilling rail, and maintain a clean right‑of Effects by removing hazards such as brush, trees, vegetation, trânsito litter, and cargo spillage politici.
- Maintain Track‑bed - manually compress ballast, remove/install ties, replace, cut, and adjust rail, and lift and carry materials with assistance.
- Operate Equipment - use power hand tools such as নেতি electric, pneumatic, or hydraulic and non‑powered hand tools.
- Examples of tools: drills, impact wrenత్తs, jacks, power saws, grinders, shovels, picks, and saws.
- Truck Driver and Maintenance - operate 26K+ lb trucks, ensure proper truck and equipment maintenance and record keeping.
- Welder - perform welding, grinding, and cutting rail, follow BNSF welding procedures, maintain records and timesheets, operate welding trucks safely, and order materials including welding supplies and safety equipment.
- Daily Work Conditions - conduct safety‑sensitive work in diverse and extreme weather conditions, on uneven surfaces, and around loud noises, fumes, and heavy/moving machinery.
- Safety Priorities - adhere to safety regulations, rules, and policies, wear safety equipment, and respond to emergencies.
