Description Petroleum Sales Reports To

The Petroleum Salesperson reports to the Director of Wholesale Operations

Job Overview

The Salesperson is responsible for maintaining current customer relations and seeking and growing potential customers. The self-motived, driven, and competitive individual will be accountable for monitoring markets, serving customers to the best of his/her ability, and setting prices to maximize profitability while being competitive and fair. The Salesperson is a vital part of the organization’s growth, success, and profitability. The self-motivated, service-orientated individual should demonstrate Northdale’s culture of a passion for winning, making customers be a part of our family, forward-thinking, and a boldly optimistic attitude.

Responsibilities

and Duties
  • Sell petroleum products such as gasoline, diesel, oils, greases and lubricants to wholesale, retail, commercial & agricultural accounts
  • Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential customers.
  • Focuses sales efforts by market analysis.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, and new products.
  • Maintain accurate records of all leads, accounts, and sales
  • Report daily and weekly sales activity to management
  • Understand product slate and the applicable taxes.
  • Delivery of product and assure order fulfillment
Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
    - Preferred.
  • Three to five years of industry sales experience
    - Preferred.
  • CDL or willing to obtain
    - Required
