Join us as a Sales Associate at Petco to help create a healthier, brighter future for pets, pet parents, and people.

You will be a Sales Solutions Generalist, guiding customers through the purchase of animals, supplies, and services while maintaining exceptional in-store standards.

• Engage customers using acquired skills and training.
• Assist guests in selecting merchandise that meets their identified needs.
• Demonstrate a high level of interest in the welfare, health, and proper handling of all animals.
• Process transactions efficiently to create a great guest experience.
• Generate future business by understanding guests and their pet(s).
• Support the Pet Care Center in achieving its sales goals.
• Ensure merchandise is stocked, priced, and displayed properly.
• Complete training programs to maintain a high level of expertise.
• Adhere to operational guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Promote a positive culture of teamwork, inclusion, and collaboration.
• Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned.
• Refer guest inquiries to the Leader on Duty when needed.

• Prior experience in sales, retail, or a related field.
• High level of knowledge of pet nutrition and sales techniques.

This role is predominantly indoor. Duties may include merchandise receiving, carrying, and stock balancing. Requires bending, kneeling, moving merchandise, and standing for extended periods. Must be able to lift 50 lbs (and pull 2000 lbs using equipment). Shift availability includes evenings, weekends, some overnight and holiday hours.
