Overview
IT Project Manager – ERP Integration Specialist for Northern Plains Services, Inc. (NPS) - IT Department. Schedule varies; 8:00am-4:30pm M-F with minimal travel. This role focuses on optimizing ERP integrations, leading IT projects, and coordinating with system security and cybersecurity. The position provides cross-functional IT support including help desk operations, hardware and network management, and location-specific system monitoring.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- ERP Integrations:
- Direct design and continued development of both new and existing integrations with external and key internal resources.
- Own, project manage and direct ERP system upgrades including impact to existing integrations and other integrated products.
- Support end users of Acumatica system.
- Cyber Security Management:
- Improve and uphold policies, procedures, and protocols to protect the company's digital assets from cyber threats.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
- Stay updated on cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to proactively mitigate risks.
- Business Analysis:
- Analyze business processes, workflows, and data to identify opportunities for optimization and automation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, objectives, and success criteria.
- Generate actionable insights and recommendations through data analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- IT Infrastructure Management:
- Own project management of specific IT-related projects.
- Support day-to-day operation of IT systems, networks, and infrastructure to ensure reliability and performance.
- Provide end-user support for hardware, software, and network connectivity in conjunction with IT specialist resources.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, coordinate with vendors, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Manage IT budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships to maximize value and efficiency to the organization.
- Computer and Governance:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices in cybersecurity and data protection.
- Enforce IT policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard sensitive information and ensure data integrity; establish or update these policies as the organization evolves.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience with ERP systems;
Acumatica strongly preferred. - Experience working with an ERP VAR;
Acumatica preferred. - Experience with reporting tools such as Acumatica Reporting, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), or Crystal Reports.
- Experience with hardware and software configuration.
- Effective communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must have and maintain an insurable driving status as per NPRS provisions.

- Occasionally lift 50 lbs.

- Good hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and visual acuity.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of IT experience with a focus on ERP implementation.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., Acumatica, Foundation, Microsoft Dynamics) and proficiency in system configuration and customization.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PMP, or ITIL are a plus.
