The Senior Design Engineer will coordinate all product development activities of new and current products. Additionally, they will provide support, input, and guidance on all product design and development activities.

• Maintain a safe, clean work environment; address any unsafe conditions or behaviors with a supervisor
• Serve as a positive leader and mentor by exhibiting and instructing desirable behaviors and skill sets
• Coordinate all product development activities, including new product development and product improvements
• Maintain CAD software database and ensure defined drawing criteria are met on all new and existing drawings
• Engineer innovative design concepts for new products utilizing CREO and other software tools
• Perform redesigns on existing products to improve manufacturability, reduce warranty, or reduce costs
• Provide support, input, and guidance on all product design and development activities
• Analyze customer service warranty and service data to identify areas of potential improvement
• Define, oversee, and help to perform testing and auditing of new products and product modifications
• Provide support to product manufacturing engineering and manufacturing during the "hand-off" of a new product
• Initiate and validate ECNs as they relate to product improvements and/or modifications
• Update and ensure accuracy of BOMs within ERP software
• Inspire, motivate, and lead others in utilizing Lean manufacturing tools to deliver results
• Organize materials at work station and department according to 6S standards
• Perform other related and non-related duties as assigned through on‑job training

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 5 or more years of hands‑on product design experience
• Lean or similar continuous improvement knowledge and experience preferred
• Software experience: CAD/CAM, Microsoft Office Suite, ERP Software

• Occasional travel may be required
