Opportunity Overview
Altru Health System is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Non-Interventional/Non-Structural Cardiologist to join its growing Heart & Vascular team in Grand Forks, ND. This is a full-time employed physician position within a high-quality, community-focused health system offering a mix of inpatient and outpatient cardiology care with interventional backup support.
Practice & Clinical Highlights
Join a collaborative Heart & Vascular Services team at Altru, including general cardiology, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and experienced APP support.
Practice in the newly designed Altru Heart & Vascular Center, now consolidated within the sixth floor of Altru Hospital to streamline care and enhance multidisciplinary collaboration.
Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiology services, including nuclear stress testing, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs), echocardiography, EKG, Holter monitoring, and cardioversions.
Share call in rotation with other general and interventional cardiologists; inpatient consults are supported by interventional backup.
Schedule is Monday-Friday with call rotations; outreach clinics to rural communities possible.
Affiliation with the University of North Dakota Medical School allows teaching opportunities with medical students if desired.
Qualifications & Candidate Profile
MD/DO with Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Cardiology.
Preference for candidates with advanced imaging fellowship experience, though strong general cardiology experience is welcome. (Advanced imaging expertise preferred)
H-1B and J-1 visa sponsorship considered for 2027 candidates.
Open to practicing physicians and 2026/2027 graduates.
Must relocate to Grand Forks, ND as per health system policy.
