Salary: $15.30 per hour
Hours:
6:30 am – 2:30 pm
Reports to:
Food Service Director
- High School diploma
- Continue to keep up to date with new requirements as mandated by the USDA, MDE, Health Department and FSD
- Minimum of three (3) years of Dining Service experience
- Ability to provide strong leadership in food preparation and serving in a timely productive manner
- Physical stamina for work assignment
- Ability to promote good relationships with staff and students
- Ability to function effectively in a team approach
- Ability to order food and supplies effectively
- Be able to prepare reports, maintain production records and other record keeping as required by the FSD
- Maintain a good sense of humor
- Be flexible as changes occur
- Learn to operate and maintain all kitchen equipment
- Able to read recipes and extend them for quantities needed
- Ability to prepare food for catered meetings and events
- Attend all meetings and trainings as requested by Food Service Director
- Maintain all kitchen equipment ensuring everything is running properly, cleaned and routine maintenance is being performed.
- Maintain adequate food supplies and be on top all inventory regarding rotation, freshness and product location.
- Maintain a near perfect attendance record.
- Ability to trouble shoot cooking techniques when the directions are incorrect.
- Ability to multi-task and reach deadlines in a stressful, busy and physical setting.
- Ability to train others in the kitchen when needed
- Wear uniform at all times while on duty
