Retail Store Manager

Overview

We are seeking a Retail Store Manager with 2+ years of management and customer service experience (retail/sales is a PLUS). The Store Manager will be accountable for day-to-day store operations, lead a positive environment, recruit and develop staff, maximize financial goals, manage customer relations, and analyze financial statements to ensure targets are met. The role reports to the area’s District Manager.

A Store Manager will be accountable for the day-to-day operations of the store and promoting a positive/productive environment. A Store Manager will lead, coach, and develop store employees. A Store Manager will recruit and retain top talent. A Store Manager will be responsible for maximizing financial goals and managing Customer Relations / Customer Satisfaction.

Leading by example and promoting our company values, the Store Manager sets the tone for a customer-centric environment. The Store Manager will be required to analyze the store's financial statements to ensure financial goals are met and adjust as necessary. The Store Manager commits to the company's asset protection program through inventory control, following policies and procedures, and securing customers' loans.

The Store Manager will, with the use of internal and external marketing tools, promote our business and target new customer acquisitions. All employees work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and much more. This position offers a competitive wage plus a bonus based on the store’s performance. The successful Store Manager’s actual pay will be based on factors such as work location, qualifications, and experience.

This position reports to the area’s District Manager.

• Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
• Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers so their development meets First Cash standards.
• Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company-prescribed channels.
• Open and close the store, including cash drawers, merchandise, and ensuring procedures protect assets.
• Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
• Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and reporting.
• Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal-setting.
• Ensure operating standards meet First Cash standards.
• Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans.
• Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development as requested.
• Communicate clearly with employees to convey the store's mission and profitability objectives.
• Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, climbing, etc.) as required by law.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise others.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• Must be willing to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products stored externally as needed.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays; 45+ hours per week; hours based on business needs.
• Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and office equipment.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Analytical skills; cash handling experience; able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent work ethic and strong business sense.
