- BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
- ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
- Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg nursing experience as a Med/Surg RN or Travel RN
- Must have titers in hand at time of submission
- Ability to float to other Med/Surg units as needed (flexible clinical skill set)
- Travel nurses must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients
- Perform ongoing clinical assessment, monitoring, and documentation in MEDHOST (electronic charting)
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per orders
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, care plans, discharge instructions, and recovery
- Float to other Med/Surg units as required and adapt to varied patient acuity
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and patient safety standards
