Our client, a leading organisation in the aerospace and defence industry, is on the lookout for a dedicated Supply Chain Engineer to join their dynamic team in Gosport. This temporary role is perfect for those who are eager to make a significant impact in supply chain and support engineering.
What You’ll Do:- Respond to technical queries related to parts provision and usage on aircraft.
- Review Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) in response to changes in Programme Baselines and advise on spare parts modifications.
- Analyse technical documentation to find alternative solutions for long‑lead‑time spares orders.
- Collaborate closely with the Product Support (LSA and Technical Publications) team to ensure timely updates to the Aircraft Documentation Set.
- Mentor team members in effectively utilising technical information.
- Conduct reviews of Maintenance Task Analysis documentation and Vendor data for programme‑specific Level of Repair Analysis (LORA).
Essential
Qualifications:
- Practical experience with Aviation Mechanical/Avionic systems or Synthetic Training Devices.
- Background in Supply Chain Support Engineering or Product Support.
- Knowledge of Logistics Support Analysis.
- Eligibility for UK SC security clearance.
Qualifications:
- Understanding of Support Engineering in military environments.
- Familiarity with Aircraft Drawing sets and Technical Drawings.
- Experience in authoring Support Product documentation.
- Degree level education or similar in a relevant Engineering subject is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to work with cross‑functional stakeholders and suppliers.
- Knowledge of international support standards like Def Stan 00‑600 and ASD/AIA Suite of S Series ILS Specifications is advantageous.
