Maintenance Technician

Genesis Products/Funder Operation in Mocksville, North Carolina is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to preserve the condition and functionality of equipment and premises. The technician will perform maintenance tasks including electrical troubleshooting, equipment repairs, fabrication, and facility maintenance.

• Reviews priorities with the Maintenance Lead to set critical activities for the day
• Performs general, complex, and preventative maintenance on production press and fabrication equipment to enhance the life of the equipment as well as eliminate/reduce downtime
• Assists with general facility maintenance, as needed, to support the team
• Works with the operators and maintenance staff to ascertain problems with equipment for quick resolution
• Troubleshoots and repairs hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and mechanical problems on equipment in an efficient way
• Researches and adds updated/enhanced parts to machinery to enhance output and efficiencies for the area(s)
• Sets or edits parameters within the electrical controls for more efficient operation of the production equipment
• Manages maintenance work orders in the system to track progress, time on task, and upcoming priorities
• Participates and adheres to all company 5S and safety policies and programs for an efficient and safe workplace

• Experience troubleshooting and programming in Siemens S7 ladder logic
• Experience troubleshooting and programming SEW drives and controls
• Strong PLC skills
• Strong electrical skills
• Able to read volt meter, ohm meter, and amp meter
• Able to troubleshoot 24 V DC and 110 V AC control circuits
• Strong experience with AC and DC drives and controls
• Able to troubleshoot 3‑phase 460 V AC motors and controls
• Understanding of hydraulics and ability to work on pressures up to 360 psi

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience on production equipment
• Above-average mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair general mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, ladder logic and PLC controls, electrical, and other related equipment needs
• Prior experience with forklifts and scissor cranes; knowledge of safety requirements in the maintenance field
• Ability to read prints and understand schematics
• Advanced problem-solver with attention to detail and strong planning, prioritizing, and time‑management skills
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Some understanding of Lean thinking and 5S helpful
• Solid written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently, safety-minded, and collaborative; flexible and able to move from project to project effectively to meet production goals
• Respectful and open-minded toward various opinions and people
