Our vision for this position is to improve the quality of products by working with Manufacturing to reduce process issues, improve production efficiency and improve bottom line results.

• Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering and the customer to assure products meet customer needs.
• Conduct IATF 16949 internal audits.
• Work directly with the Engineering Team to approve/revise tools and processes.
• Up front review of tooling, processes, and controls to ensure quality objectives are achieved.
• Consider design from manufacturing, process controls, and cost in decision making process.
• Ensure shop floor has capability and resources to produce product to specifications.
• Visibly supports formal efforts aimed at continuous improvement of all factory operations.

• Work as a member of the Project Management Team providing support and direction on, but not limited to:
  • Control Plans
  • FEMA
  • Process Flow
  • Packaging
  • Run at Rate
  • Gage Design and Fabrication
  • Customer Liason
  • PPAP
• Implementation of formal Quality Assurance System designed to guarantee customer satisfaction and create a skilled work force. Training and education of floor personnel play a key role.
• Work with Engineering Team to establish effective Tool Try Out and Variability Study procedures.
• Coordinate try out needs with CMM availability, technicians, and shop schedules.
• Build part specific data to support process controls and customer needs.
• Establish testing measures and histories to avoid repeat problems in manufacturing.
• Develop formal tracking and response system to follow up on internal and external quality issues. Places priority on customer service and response.
• Provide visible support for daily floor operations and SOS. Plays leadership role in promoting an atmosphere of continuous improvement with both quality technicians and production technicians.
• Work closely with customers on customer part issues.
• Travel to customers, if necessary, to handle any customer concerns.

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Automotive stamping
• IATF auditor highly preferred
• Process improvement
