As a Purchaser IT, you play a crucial role in supporting how Damen invests in the digital backbone of our global operations. From running RFX processes to managing IT contracts, you help ensure we partner with the right suppliers, secure the best conditions, and drive continuous value for our business. This role empowers you to combine analytical insight, stakeholder collaboration, and tactical negotiation to support Damen’s global IT ambitions.

• Analyze & Advise
  • Support the translation of business needs into procurement requirements in collaboration with senior IT and procurement stakeholders.
  • Analyze spending data and contribute to optimization proposals under guidance.
• Procure & Negotiate
  • Support and execute RFX processes that secure the best value for new IT spend.
  • Participate in contract negotiations and help realize IT contracts, addenda, T&Cs, SLAs, DPAs and governance frameworks that safeguard our operational continuity.
• Contract with Confidence
  • Prepare, implement, and manage IT contracts throughout their lifecycle.
  • Ensure contract data, ownership, stakeholders, and notifications are accurately secured and maintained in SAP, CLM and Outlook.
• Drive Supplier Excellence
  • Participate in supplier governance meetings, monitor supplier performance, and follow up on improvement actions.
  • Build long term supplier relationships rooted in transparency, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Optimize & Innovate
  • Support initiation and execution of IT and procurement optimization initiatives aligned with Damen’s strategy and evolving business needs.
  • Support system and process enhancements that strengthen IT procurement’s effectiveness.

We’re looking for a proactive professional who thrives at the intersection of business, technology, and commercial decision‑making.

• A vocational level of working and thinking, with 3-5 years of relevant IT procurement experience.
• Knowledge of IT contracts, including SLA, governance, DPA, and commercial structures.
• Confident negotiation skills and the ability to support stakeholders at both tactical and strategic levels.
• Analytical strength and a structured working style — you see patterns, risks, and opportunities before others do.
• The ability to work independently within a defined plan while maintaining close alignment with your manager and senior colleagues.
