Position Summary – General Facilities Maintenance Technician  role involves executing routine maintenance tasks to uphold the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart Stores, equipment, or fixtures. Work under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager and adhere to established maintenance schedules and guidelines, conducting inspections, cleaning, and repairing facilities, equipment, or fixtures.

As a General Facilities Maintenance Technician at our local retail store, you will execute routine maintenance tasks to uphold safety, functionality, and aesthetics. You will perform inspections, cleaning, and repairs to facilities, equipment, or fixtures in coordination with store leadership.

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
• Can move up and down ladders frequently
• Comfortable working at heights frequently
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Able to work in various temperatures
• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
• Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience, in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment) and hand/power tools
• Utilize the work order management system to receive and document repair Work Orders and support Stores and Store associates
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely

• Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, level of job offer, qualifications and other job-related factors.
• An additional bonus is available for this role and will be disclosed during the interview process.

• Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade, or 5 years’ experience in one of these trades
• Valid Driver’s License
• Eligible for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) (if required by location)

• Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program
• License in related trade in the city/state where job is located
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, email, and presentation software

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 – $35.00 per hour. Actual rate may meet or exceed the minimum wage and may include premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Premiums may apply if criteria are met.
