Job Title: School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (2 Full-Time Openings)

Location: Goose Creek, SC 29445

Pay Rate: $43–$50/hour

Birch Agency is currently seeking two (2) full-time Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for in-person school-based positions in Goose Creek, South Carolina
. These opportunities support elementary and secondary students and offer established caseloads and schedules.

We are looking for dedicated, student-focused clinicians who are passionate about helping students improve communication skills that directly impact academic and social success.

Position 1: Elementary / High School Split — Full-time: 7.5 hours/day, 37.5 hours/week

Position 2: One building (elementary school only) — Full-time: 7.5 hours/day, 37.5 hours/week

Assignment Dates: ASAP (ideally 1/5) – April 3

Potential to extend through the end of the school year

Exclusionary Dates (campuses closed): 1/19, 2/16, 4/6–4/10, 5/25

The Speech-Language Pathologist provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to students with speech, language, and communication disorders that impact educational performance. The SLP collaborates with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with federal, state, and district guidelines.

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
• Interpret evaluation results and share findings with parents, teachers, and IEP teams
• Identify students eligible for services under IDEA and South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) guidelines
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans
• Provide direct and indirect therapy services in individual, small group, and classroom settings
• Integrate therapy goals with the general education curriculum
• Maintain accurate documentation for evaluations, progress reports, and service logs (including Medicaid billing, if applicable)
• Participate in IEP meetings and assist in writing measurable speech-language goals
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations
• Collaborate with teachers, special educators, school psychologists, and related service providers
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and carryover strategies
• Maintain and enhance professional knowledge and skills
• Perform other duties as assigned by school administration or special education leadership

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active South Carolina Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology license
• SCDE Professional Certificate in Speech-Language Therapy or eligibility to obtain
• ASHA CCC-SLP or Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidate under supervision
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and families

• School-based experience
• Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and RtI processes
• Experience using evidence-based, data-driven practices
